Beauty for Ashes Food Drive Successful
Tue., Mar. 23, 1965
Approximately 800 students voluntarily gave up their dinners in order to raise money to rebuild 33 places of worship in Mississippi that arsonists had destroyed. The Beauty for Ashes program, which was sponsored by the Fair and Society group, used the raw food costs of the skipped meals for donation, raising over $366.
