Brass Ensemble Presents "The Glory of Brass and Organ"

The Music Department presented a performance by the Dickinson College Brass Ensemble and organist Charles Farris at 3:00pm in St. John's Episcopal Church.  The program included David Sampson's "Fanfare for Canterbury Cathedral", Dale Wood's arrangement of Martin Shaw's "Grand Processional", Frank Clark's arrangement of Henry Purcell's "Trumpet Voluntary", William Picher's arrangement of Sigfried Karg-Elert's "Praise the Lord with Drums and Cymbals", Sigfriend Karg-Elert's "Now Thank We All Our God", Olivier Messiaen's "Le Banquet Celeste", Robert King's transcription of Ludwig van Beethoven's "Allegretto" from Symphony No. 7, Gary Olson's arrangement of Eugene Gigout's "Grand Choeur Dialogue", and Luther Henderson's arrangement "The Saints' Hallelujah".
