Brass Ensemble-Symphonic Band Joint Concert

The Music Department presented a joint concert featuring the Brass Ensemble and the Symphonic Band at 3:00pm in the Rubendall Recital Hall. The ensembles performed Johann Altenberry's "Allegro" from Concerto for Seven Trumpets and Timpani (ed. Gerard Schwartz), Tomaso Albinoni's "Vivace" from "Saint Mark" (arr. David Hickman), G.W.E. Freiderich's "Ellen Bayne Quick-Step" (arr. Empire Brass), Hoagy Carmichael and Mitchell Parish's "Stardust" (arr. Lennie Niehaus), Simone Mantia's "Believe Me if All Those Endearing Young Charms" (arr. David Werden), S.K. Goodman's "Miles of Smiles", Henry Purcell's "Symphony" from The Fairy Queen Act IV (trans. Roger Smith), Calvin Custer's "Prologue and Fantasia", Frank Erickson's "Irish Folk Song Suite", P.D.Q. Bach's "March of the Cute Little Wood Sprites" (ed. Peter Schickele), "Mancini Magic" (arr. Jerry Brubaker), and Henry Filmore's "The Klaxon" (ed. Frederick Fennell).
