Chamber Choir Presents "The Heritage of Music in the Roman Catholic Church"

The Chamber Choir gave a concert entitled "The Heritage of Music in the Roman Catholic Church" at 7:30pm at Saint Patrick's Church in Carlisle.  As a tribute to the church's bicentennial, they sang Thomas Tallis' "Te lucis ante terminum", Giovanni Pierluiga da Palestrina's "Ad te levavi", Tomas Luis da Victoria's "Pueri Hebraeorum", Giacomo Carissimi's "Christus fatus est", Claudio Monteverdi's "Laetatus sum", Niccolo Zingarelli's "Christus factus est", Franz Josef Haydn's "An Evening Hymn to God", Anton Bruckner's "Christus factus est", Giuseppe Verdi's "Laudi alla vergine", Francis Poulenc's "Vinea mea electa" and "Timor et tremor", Ernst Pfiffner's "Te lucis ante terminum", and Claudio Monteverdi's "Laudate Dominum omnes gentes".
