Chamber Orchestra and Chamber Choir Perform

The Music Department presented a concert by the Chamber Orchestra and Chamber Choir titled "Baroque to Neo-Classicism: A Concert illustrating the remarkable changes in musical style between 1725 and 1790" for the Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies at 8:00pm in the Weiss Center for the Arts. The ensembles performed Antonio Vivaldi's "Concerto in F minor for violin and orchestra (op. 8 no. 4)"; Georg Friedrich Handel's "Dopo notte" and "Presti omai"; excerpts from Christoph Willibald von Gluck's Orfeo; and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's vocal works "Non mi dir", "L'Amerò sarò costante", "Voi che sapete", and "Pienderò quel brunettino", as well as his overture to Die Zauberflöte.
