College Choir and Jazz Ensemble Perform

The Music Department presented a joint concert by the College Choir and the Jazz Ensemble featuring the Octals at 8:00pm in the Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium. The ensembles performed Aaron Copland's "Long Time Ago", "At the River", and "Stomp Your Foot"; Ralph Vaughan Williams' "The Dark-Eyed Sailor", "The Spring Time of the Year", "Just as the Tide was Flowing", and "The Lover's Ghost"; Cole Porter's "Do I Love You?"; Leigh Harline and Ned Washington's "When You Wish Upon a Star"; Johnny Mandel and Paul Webster's "The Shadow of Your Smile"; Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel's "Scarborough Fair" and "The Sound of Silence"; George and Ira Gershwin's "I Got Rhythm"; Gregory Yasinitsky's "Get a Grip"; Mark Taylor's "Brass Machine"; Ann Ronell's "Willow Weep for Me" (arr. Wolpe); Buddy Feyne, Erskine Hawkins, William Johnson, and Julian Dash's "Tuxedo Junction" (arr. Fenno); Doug Beach and George Shutack's "Portrait"; and Sonny Rollins' "Sonnymoon for Two" (arr. Parker).
