College Choir and Jazz Ensemble Present "Swingtime!"

The College Choir and the Jazz Ensemble presented a program titled "Swingtime!" at 8:00pm in the Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium.  The College Choir performed four Robert Burns ballads arranged by James Mulholland, Cole Porter's "C'est Magnifique", Hoagy Carmichael's "Georgia On My Mind", and Irving Berlin's "Blue Skies".  The Jazz Ensemble performed Dave Wolpe's arrangements of Perez Prado's "Mambo Jambo" and Jan Savitt and Johnny Watson's "'720' in the Books"; Gordon Goodwin's arrangement of George Gershwin's "I Got Plenty O' Nuttin'"; Frank Comstock's arrangement of Jimmy Van Heusen's "Darn That Dream"; Mike Carubia's arrangements of Bob Russell and Duke Ellington's "Don't Get Around Much Anymore" and Will Hudson, Eddie DeLange, and Irving Mills' "Moonglow"; and Mike Lewis' arrangement of Richard Rogers' "Thou Swell".
