Collegium Musicum Presents "Christmas Music of the Renaissance"

The Department of Music presented the Collegium Musicum in their winter concert at 8:00pm in Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium. Their program included Giovanni da Palestrina's "Canite tuba", Francisco Guerrero's "Oyd, oyd, una cosa", Guillaume Costeley's "Allon gay bergeres", an anonymously-written song entitled "E la don don, Verges Maria", Guerrero's "A un nino llorando", Johann Walter's "Joseph, lieber Joseph mein", Roland de Lassus' "Resonet in laudibus", "Canon for Christmas" from the liturgy of the Eastern Orthodox Church, Tomas Luis de Victoria's "O magnum mysterium", Johannes Ockeghem's "Alma redemptoris mater", Heinrich Schutz's "Es ist erschienen", Josquin des Pres' "Magnificat", and Jacobus Gallus' "Hodie Christus natus est".
