Collegium Musicum Presents "Songs and Dances for the Queen of Heaven"

The Department of Music presented the Collegium Musicum in their 1978 fall concert entitled Songs and Dances for the Queen of Heaven: Music for Advent and Christmas. Held in Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium at 8:00pm, the concert featured many anonymously-written pieces such as "Jube domne/Primo Tempore", "O Virgo Splendens", "Stella Splendens", "Laudemus Virginem/Splendens Ceptigera", "Polorum regina", "Mariam, matrem", "Ad mortem festinamus", "T'Andernaken", "Sanctus, Agnus Dei", and "Ex illustri nata prosapia Catherina". Additionally, the Collegium Musicum played Cooper's "Farewell, my joy", Anthonello de Caserta's "Notes pour moi", Martin de Rivaflecha's "Salve Regina", and Josquin des Pres' "Inviolata, integra et casta es, Maria."
