Collegium Musicum Presents "Songs of Love, Death, and Spring"

The Department of Music and the Collegium Musicum presented Songs of Love, Death, and Spring at 3:00pm in Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium. They began their program with four madrigals by Don Carlo Gesualdo: "Luci serene e chiare", "Ecco morio dunque!", "Io tacero", and "Moro lasso". They continued with Luis Milan's "Fantasia", George F. Handel's "Pensieri notturni di Filli", William Byrd's "This Sweet and Merry Month", Thomas Weelkes' "Cold Winter's Ice is Fled", and John Wilbye's "Oft Have I Vowed" and "Flora Gave me Fairest Flowers".
