"A Concert of South Indian Music by Vijaya Prabhakar" Performed

The Music Department presented "A Concert of South Indian Music by Vijaya Prabhakar" at 4:00pm in Memorial Hall. Mrs. Prabhakar, playing the vina, was accompanied by K.S. Mani on the violin and Sathish Pathakota on the mrdangam. She performed Dikshitar's "Vatapi" and "Smaramyaham", Thyagaraja's "Niravadhisukhada" and "Entaranitana", Pattanam and Subramanya Iyer's "Raghuvamsa", Meera's "Lahiladakaguru", Ramnad and Srinivasa Iyer's "Anudinamunu", Veena and Sheshanna's "Tillana", and "Mangalam".
