Dickinson Collegium Presents "A Christmas Concert"

The Music Department presented the Dickinson Collegium's "A Christmas Concert: Traditional Carols" at 8:00pm on Sat., Dec. 7 and at 4:00pm on Sun., Dec. 8 in Memorial Hall.  The ensemble performed Johann Pachelbel's "Magnificat"; the English traditional carol "Cherry Tree Carol" (arr. D. Willcocks); Tomas Luis de Victoria's "O magnum mysterium (motet)" and "Kyrie", "Gloria", "Credo", "Sanctus", and "Agnus Dei" from his Missa O magnum mysterium; Guillaume Costeley's "Allons gay bergeres"; Edith Borroff's "The Christ Child Lay"; Harold Darke's "In the Bleak Midwinter"; Hans Leo Hassler's "Cantate Domino"; Thomas Weelkes' "To shorten winter's sadness"; Thomas Morley's "Arise, get up"; Orlando Gibbons' "Osanna to the Son of David"; and a number of traditional carols, among them "Quelle est cette odeur", "The First Noel", "Hark the Herald Angels", "God Rest you Merry Gentlemen", "O Come All Ye Faithful", "What Child is This", and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas".
