Ellen Phillips Performs

Soprano Ellen Phillips performed in a concert at 8:00pm in Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium. She sang a Gregorian Chant entitled "Veni Creator Spiritus"; Henry Purcell's "We Sing to Him" and "The Plaint"; Franz Schubert's "Auf dem Wasser zu singen" and "Merres Stille"; Felix Wolfes' "Auf dem See"; Johannes Brahms' "Verzweiflung"; Alfred Bachelet's "Chere Nuit";  Eric Satie's "Dapheneo"; Claude Debussy's "C'est l'extase langoureuse" and "Fantoches"; Benjamin Britten's "Let the Florid Music Praise", "Now the Leaves are Falling Fast", "Seascape", "Nocturne", and "As It Is, Plenty"; Pietro Mascagni's "Son pochi fiori"; Giacomo Puccini's"The Death of Liu"; Genevan Psalter's "Comfort, comfort ye as my people"; an Appalacian Folk Song entitled "I Wonder as I Wander"; John B. Dykes' "Lead Kindly Light"; and a Swedish Hymn entitled "How Great Thou Art".
