The Department of Music presented mezzo-soprano Brenda Smith in a recital at 8:15pm in Rubendall Recital Hall. Accompanied by pianist Janna Breune, she sang Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's "Auf Flugein des Gesanges", "Das Erste Veilchen", and "Neue Liebe"; Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel's "Du Bist die Ruh" and "Gondellied"; excerpts from Hugo Wolf's Italienisches Liederbuch; Claude Debussy's "Green", "Romance", and "Mandoline"; Sergei Prokofiev's "The sun fills my room", "True Tenderness", "In Remembrance of the Sun", and "Greeting!"; and Dominick Argento's "Spring", "Dirge", and "Diaphenia".
