John Eaken Performs

The Music Department presented "The Salon Violinist," a faculty recital by violinist John Eaken, accompanied by pianist Gloria Whitney, at 8:15pm in Rubendall Recital Hall. Eaken performed Johannes Brahms' "Hungarian Dance #2"; August Wilhelmj's "Bach's Air for the G String"; Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's "Melody"; Jules Massnet's "Meditation from 'Thais'" and "Elegie"; Frantisek Drdla's "Souvenir"; "Chopin Nocturne in E flat Major" (arr. Pablo de Sarasate); Antonin Dvorak's "Humoresque"; Felix Borowski's "Adoration"; Alexander Iljinsky's "Berceuse"; Joachim Raff's "Cavitina"; and Fritz Kreisler's "Liebeslied", "Liebesfreud", and "Caprice Viennoise".
