Junior Vocal Recital

The Music Department presented a junior recital by baritone Robert Burlington, accompanied by pianist Kee Mann Chang, at 3:30pm in Rubendall Recital Hall.  Burlington performed John Dowland's "Come Again"; the Elizabethan era ballad "The Willow Song"; Henry Purcell's "I attempt from Love's sickness to fly"; Robert Schumann's "Im wunderschonen Monat Mai", "Aus meinen Tranen spriessen", "Die Rose, die Lilie, die Taube", "Wenn ich in deine Augen seh'", "Ich will meine Seele tauchen", "Im Rhein, im heiligen Strome", and "Ich grolle nicht"; Charles Gounoud's "Avant de quitter"; Claude Debussy's "Romance" and "Les Cloches"; Henri DuParc's "Soupir"; Samuel Barber's "The Daisies", "The Crucifixion", and "Sure on this shining night"; and Richard Hundley's "Evening Hours" and "Epitaph on a Wife".
