Mermaid Players' Production of "Orchards" Opens

Orchards, six short plays adapted from the stories of Anton Chekhov, opened at 8:00pm in Mathers Theatre. Margot Harley, Executive Producer of The Acting Company, and John Houseman, the company's Artistic Director, contracted several of America's most successful young playwrights to adapt the stories into plays. Presented by the Mermaid Players and the Department of Dramatic Arts, this production ran April 10, 13, 16 and 18.
