Noonday Concert

The Music Department presented its eighth Noonday Concert of the 1988-1989 academic year in Rubendall Recital Hall. Students and faculrt peformed Thomas Robinson's "Robinsons May", Alexander Tansman's "Kolysanka (Berceuse d'Orient)", Johann Sebastian Bach's "Prelude from the First Cello Suite", Georg Friedrich Handel's "Where'er you walk", Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Allegro from the Flute Quartet in D Major" and "Molto Allegro from the String Quartet in D Major, K. 155", Robert Schumann's "Im wunderschönen Monat Mai" and "Du bist wie eine Blume", Samuel Barber's "Sure on this shining night" and "Must the winter come so soon?", Ned Rorem's "Early in the Morning" and "Memory", Frédéric Chopin's "Impromptu in A-flat Major, Op. 29", Georg Philipp Telemann's "Vivace from the Sonata No. 1 for two violins", and Luigi Boccherini's "Presto from the Quartet in D Major, Op. 8 ".
