Noonday Concert

The Department of Music presented the eighth Noonday Concert of the 1978-1979 academic year in Memorial Hall. Students and faculty played Johann Ernst Altenburg's "Trumpet Fanfare: Bicinium"; four preludes by Manuel Maria Ponce; Diego Ortiz's "Recercada segunda"; George Frideric Handel's "Sonata No. 3 in F Major" and "Amor gioje mi porge"; Johann Sebastian Bach's "Duet from Cantata No. 80", "Brandenburg Concerto No. 5", and "Cantata No. 78"; Gabriel Faure's "Une Sainte en son aureole" and "La lune blanche luit dans les bois"; Paul Hindemith's "Sonata for Flute and Piano"; and two preludes by George Gershwin.
