Noonday Concert

The Department of Music presented the fifth Noonday Concert of the 1980-1981 academic year in Memorial Hall. Students and faculty performed Henry Purcell's "Fanfare: Air", "Rejoice in the Lord always", and "Strike the viol"; Francois Couperin's "La Convalescente"; Domenico Scarlatti's "Two Sonatas in G Major"; Richard Strauss' "Die Nacht"; Michael Head's "When I think upon the maidens"; R.M. Endresen's "Pepperino"; David Raksin's "Serenade" from The Unicorn in the Garden; Pierluigi da Palestrina's "Kyrie and Gloria"; Johannes Brahms' "A Dove flew down from Heaven"; Johann Sebastian Bach's "Ah, alas, my imperfection"; and George Frideric Handel's "The trumpet shall sound".
