Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Student Recital

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia presented a student recital in the Little Theater in the HUB at 3:00pm. The program featured primarily vocal performers but also included pieces by other musicians. In the first half of the program, they performed Bela Bartok's "Spring", the American Folk Song "He's Gone Away", Heinrich Schutz's "Furchte dich nicht" from Kleine Geistliche Konzerte, Antonio Lotti's "Pur dicesti, O Bocco Isella", Roger Quilter's "O Mistress Mine", Paul Hindemith's "A Swan", Orlando di Lasso's "Echo Song", Frank Mueller's "Rise up, my Love", and Frederic Chopin's "Fantaisie Impromptu". In the second half, they played "Piu non si trovano", "Se lontan ben mio tu sei", and "Mi legnero tacendo" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; "Der Tod und das Madchen", "Der Wanderer", and "Heidenroslein" by Franz Peter Schubert; "Sonata #5" by Sergey Sergeyevitch Prokofiev; "My Eveline"; "George Jones"; "Saloon"; and "Hail Sinfonia!".
