Philip Morrison Receives Priestley Award
Thu., Mar. 6, 1980
Philip Morrison, Institute Professor of Physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology was presented the 1980 Priestley Award for his contributions to theoretical astrophysics including work on supernovae, cosmic x-rays, galaxies, and quasars. At the ceremony, Dr. Morrison gave an address titled "Two Universes: Whirlpool and Hearth."
