A Recital on the Theme of Social Justice and a Junior Recital

The Music Department presented "Giving Voice: A Recital on the Theme of Social Justice," a recital by mezzo-soprano Audrey Rose, accompanied by pianist Dana La Rosa, and a junior recital by pianist Dana La Rosa at 7:00pm in Rubendall Recital Hall. Rose and La Rosa performed Ricky Ian Gordon's "To Be Somebody, "Prayer," and "Troubled Woman" (poems by Langston Hughes); Gian-Carlo Menotti's "Lullaby"; Marc Blitzstein's "In the Clear" and "The Rose Song"; John Musto's "Silhouette" (poem by Langston Hughes); Jason Robert Brown's "You Don't Know This Man"; Michael John La Chiusa's "Mistress of the Senator"; Maurice Ravel's "Sonatine"; and Robert Schumann's "Concerto in A minor, op. 54."
