Tuning David's Lyre

The Music Department presented "Tuning David's Lyre," a concert by the College Choir, at 3:00pm in Rubendall Recital Hall. The choir performed "The Star-Spangled Banner", the Dickinson alma mater, Philipp Nicolai's "Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme" (arr. Johann Sebastian Bach) and "Wake, Awake, For Night is Flying", Pierre Regnault's "Doulce memoire en plaisir consomée", William Billings' "I Am Come into My Garden" and "I Am the Rose of Sharon", Rischar's arrangement of the folk song "Fricassée", Sting's "Fragile" (arr. Rischar), Bob Dylan's "I Shall Be Released", the English carol "This is the Truth Sent from Above" (arr. Rischar), Heitor Villa-Lobos' "Ave Maria", and the Silesian folk tune "Beautiful Savior" (arr. Fredrik Melius Christiansen).
