"Writing on Hands" Exhibit Opens

An exhibit entitled "Writing on Hands: Memory and Knowledge in Early Modern Europe" that considered "the hand as a meeting place of matter, mind, and spirit" was on display in the Trout Gallery from September 8th to November 25th, 2000.  It then moved to the Folger Shakespeare Library.
