Noonday Concert

The Department of Music presented the third Noonday Concert of the 1972-1973 academic year in Memorial Hall of Old West. The concert featured performances by student musical groups including the Brass Ensemble, String Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet, as well as independent soloists and ensembles. The students played Giovanni Gabrieli's "O Magnum Mysterium", two Christmas songs by Peter Cornelius, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Andante Moderato", Johannes Brahms' "Geistliches Wiegenlied", Johann Christoph Bach's "Allegro" from Sinfonia No. 1, Frederic Chopin's "Nocturne No. 1", Alexander Scriabin's "Etude No. 12", and Girolamo Frescobaldi's "Canzona" from Canzoni per Sonar.
