The Department of Music presented mezzo-soprano Brenda Smith in a faculty recital at 8:00pm in Rubendall Recital Hall. Accompanied by pianist Kee Mann Chang, she sang Thomas Morely's "It was a lover and his lass"; Roger Quilter's "Take, O take those lips away"; Gerald Finzi's "Who is Sylvia?"; Johannes Brahms' "Auf dem See", "Es traumte mir", "O komme, holde Sommernacht", "Dein blaues Auge", and "Botschaft"; Charles Gounod's "Depuis hier je cherche" and "Que fais-tu, blanche tourterelle"; Samuel Barber's "At Saint Patrick's Purgatory", "St. Ita's Vision", "The Crucifixion", "The Monk and his Cat", and "The Desire for Hermitage"; Francis Poulenc's "Au-dela"; and Erik Satie's "Je te veux".
