Daphne Peaslee and Laurie Buzak Perform

The Music Department presented a student recital by soprano Daphne Peaslee and violinist Laurie Buzak at 8:00pm in Rubendall Recital Hall. The students were accompanied by pianist Laura Reed, horn player Frederick Petty, pianist Kee Man Chung, and violinist John Eaken. They played George Frederick Handel's "Non lo dirò col labbro" and "Verdi Prati"; Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's "Das erste Veilchen", "Der Mond", and "Suleika"; Hector Berlioz's "Le Jeune Pâtre Breton"; John Jacob Niles' "Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair", "Evening", and "The Lass from the Low Countree"; Arcangelo Corelli's "Sonate I, Opus 5 No. 1"; W. Ten Have's "Allegro Brillant"; Béla Bartók's "Sonatine"; and Johann Sebastian Bach's "Concerto in D minor for Two Violins".
