Sophomore Vocal Recital

The Music Department presented a recital of singers from the sophomore class, accompanied by pianist Joan Frey Boytim, at 7:15pm in Rubendall Recital Hall.  The vocalists performed Giulio Caccini's "Amarilli, mia bella"; Vincenzo Bellini's "Vaga luna"; Franz Schubert's "Erlafsee" and "Seligkeit"; Maurice Ravel's "Reveille-toi", "La-bas vers l'eglise", and "Tout gai!"; Robert Schumann's "Intermezzo" (from Spanisches Liederspiel), "In der Fremde", and "Du bist wie eine Blume"; Richard Strauss' "Die Nacht"; Fernando Obradors' "La mi sola, Laureola"; Ralph Vaughan Williams' "Silent Noon"; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "La ci darem la mano"; and Gerald Finzi's "Come away, come away death", "Who is Sylvia?", "Fear no more the heat of the sun", "O mistress mine", and "It was a lover and his lass".
