Brass Ensemble Presents "Brass Sampler"

The Brass Ensemble presented "Brass Sampler," a collection of dances and marches, at 3:00pm in the Rubendall Recital Hall.  The ensemble performed Wienandt's arrangement of Gregorio Turini's "Fanfare", Giovanni Gabrieli's "La Spiritata", Johann Pezel's "Corrente", Wilke Renwick's "Dance", Frackenpohl's arrangement of F.W. Meacham's "American Patrol", Jack Gale's "Mellon Dance", Werden's arrangement of John Philip Sousa's "Washington Post", Paul Nagle's "George M. Cohan Medley"; Olson's arrangement of Hector Berlioz's "Triumphal March", King's arrangement of Johann Sebastian Bach's "March, Chorale, and Fugue", McMillin's arrangement of Scott Joplin's "Cleopha", Frackenpohl's arrangement of C. Luckyth Roberts' "Junk Man Rag", Usner's arrangement of Igor Stravinsky's "Theme with Variations", Stratton's translation of Béla Bartók's "For Children", and Corley's translation of Henry Purcell's "Voluntary on Old 100th".
