College-Community Orchestra and College Choir Perform

The Music Department presented a concert of music from the Russian choral tradition and music from the English seaside featuring the College-Community Orchestra and the College Choir at 3:00pm in the Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium. The ensembles performed Sergei Rachmaninoff's "To Thee We Sing (Tebye poyem)"; Nikolai Rimsky Korsakov's "Golden Glow of Evening" (arr. Truman Bullard); Sergei Taneyev's "Two Part-Songs to Symbolist Poets"; Ralph Vaughan Williams' "The Dark-eyed Sailor", "The Lover's Ghost", "Just as the Tide was Flowing"; Richard Wagner's "Prelulde to the Opera Die Meistersinger Zu Nürnberg"; Domenico Cimarosa's "Il Matrimonio Segreto"; and Johann Sebastian Bach's "The Air from Suite No. 3".
