Selected Highlights from this Issue:
- Senator Birch Bayh and Dr. John R. Silber, President of Boston University, spoke at the 1972 Public Affairs Symposium, which focused on issues in education.
- The Board of Trustees approved a slightly modified policy on fraternity housing.
- The Alumnus published Edward R. Weidlein's "Formula for Recruiting Students: Information Plus a Bit of Hard Sell," which originally appeared in The Chronicle of Higher Education.
- The Friends of the Library group was established to raise funds to support library programs.
- Charles Eldridge (class of 1971) was appointed as Audio, Visual and Staging Director of Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium.
- Dave Watkins, head basketball and tennis coach, was appointed to the newly-established position of Assistant Athletic Director.
