The College-Community Orchestra presented their spring concert, dedicated to Dr. and Mrs. Howard L. Rubendall, at 8:00pm in Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium. The Brass Ensemble played the prelude to the concert and then the orchestra played Felix Mendelssohn's "Ouverture fur Harmoniemusik", Johannes Brahms' "Liebeslieder Waltzers" and Max Bruch's "Kol Nidre Adagio for Violoncello and Orchestra". After the intermission, they continued with Edouard Lalo's "Concerto for Violoncello and Orchestra" and George Frederick Handel's "Utrecht Jubilate".
Two Gentlemen of Verona, a musical by Galt MacDermot and John Guare, opened at 8:00pm in Mathers Theatre. Presented by the Mermaid Players, the production ran May 2-3 and 8-10. The musical was adapted by John Guare and Mel Shapiro from the play by William Shakespeare.
Gail Schweiter gave a piano recital at 2:00pm in Memorial Hall. She played Johann Sebastian Bach's "Prelude and Fugue"; Ludwig van Beethoven's "Sonata No. 1"; Frederic Chopin's "Waltz, Opus Posthumous", "Waltz, Opus 69, No. 1", and "Polonaise, Opus 40, No. 1"; and Claude Debussy's "Children's Corner Suite".
Student Cindy Hill performed in her vocal recital at 3:30pm in Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium. Presented by the Department of Music, her show was comprised of fourteen songs: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Oiseaux, si tous les ans", "Abendempfindung", and "Warnung"; Franz Schubert's "Fruhlingsglaube", "Wehmut", and "An die Musik"; Gioacchino Rossini's "La Danza"; Giacomo Puccini's "Un bel di"; Gabriel Faure's "Mandoline"; Joseph-Hector Fiocco's "Lamentatio Tertia"; and Psalms 134, 142, 148, 150.

Students and faculty performed James Hook's "Sonata for three flutes", Franz Schubert's "Der Wanderer" and "Wanderers Nachtlied", Gustav Mahler's "Um Mitternacht", Johann Sebastian Bach's "Prelude and Fuga" from The Well-Tempered Clavichord, Claude Debussy's "Jimbo's Lullaby" and "Golliwogg's Cake Walk", Bach's "Gott ist Unser Sonn und Schild" from Cantata 79, and A. Barthe's " Passacaille".

Then the College Choir and College-Community Orchestra performed Franz Schubert's "Stabat Mater", Johann Sebastian Bach's "Lobet den Herren alle Heiden", and four Slovak folk songs by Bela Bartok: "Wedding Song from Poniky", "Song of the Hayharvesters from Hiadel", "Dancing Song from Medzibrod", and "Dancing Song from Poniky".

Her program included Albert Roussel's "Ciel, aer et vens"; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Bester Jungling"; Robert Schumann's "Im Wunderschonen Monat Mai", "Wenn ich in deine Augen seh", "Und wussten's die Blumen", and "Am leuchtenden Sommer Morgen"; Samuel Barber's "The Daisies" and "Sure on this Shining Night"; and Johann Sebastian Bach's "Susser Trost".

Quantz's "Concerto in G Major", Mozart's "Das Veilchen", Jean Baptiste Loeillet's "Sonata in D Minor", Mozart's "La ci Darem la Mano", and Gioacchino Rossini's "Duetto Buffo di due Gatti".
