William Creighton Reed, Jr., (Class of 1959) receives his commission as a second lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from Brigadier General Edgar C. Doleman, the United States Army War College commandant, on June 7, 1959 during the Dickinson College commencement ceremony.
