Letter from Roger B. Taney to Nahum Capen

Supreme Court Chief Justice Roger B. Taney writes a private letter to Nahum Capen of Boston regarding a rumor about Taney resigning: "There is no foundation for the rumor that I have resigned or am about to resign the office of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court," as Taney explains.
