John Dickinson Cigar Box

A brown, wooden cigar box wrapped in paper with images and name of John Dickinson.  The text on the bottom is the stamped information of the manufacturing company and health notice.

Butter Dishes

Two sets of cut glass butter dishes with flower shaped handles, deep bowls, accompanying plates, and glass drains to separate ice from butter.  This set reportedly belonged to Joseph Priestley.

A golden metal plaque featuring the raised emblem of Peking University in bronze and a gold plate with Chinese letters in red. The plaque is stored in a cloth covered box.

Dickinson Banner with Seal

A red Brocade Banner with the Dickinson College seal embroidered in gold with gold fringe, silk back panel, and a rod for hanging.  The banner was found in Allison Church after Dickinson bought the building.

Red Beanie, 1953

A red, felt beanie with “’53” in white felt on the front. Donor describes this hat as a replacement for one that he received as a Freshman. On the tag inside the hat "J. P." is written in black marker.

Priestley Scientific Glassware

Ten pieces of various scientific glassware owned and used by John Priestley for his experiements. The set includes several clear glass test tubes, flasks, "s" tubes, and a flask with a valve.
