The '55 Microcosm is being prepared so that it will be released by May 15. In addition to the usual content of senior portraits, family portraits, organizations, fraternities and sports articles, there will be a "features" section and a whole new layout. The Christian Service Project chapter of Dickinson College will headed to a few stops in Pennsylvania and New Jersey to teach Sunday School classes, attend worship services and participate in a panel for a Youth Fellowship meeting. Freshmen hazing nears its end with the introduction of a new group who controls hazing rules. Called the Wine Hats, this is a group of 10 sophomore men who, with respect to the campus and the administration, indoctrinate the freshmen men into college life. George Shuman, Treasurer of the College, is elected trustee of the Carlisle Hospital and trustee of the Pennigton School in New Jersey. The Carlisle branch of the American Association of University Women will be hosting the South Central Pennsylvania District Conference which will discuss public school education. Student Senate releases its budget for the 1954-1955 school year. The Sadie Hawkins dance and Powder Puff fame will happen October 30 and 31 thanks to the Pan-Hellenic Council. The Parents' Advisory Committee is established to serve as an advisory organization for the college, to recruit desirable students for the college and to fund-raise.
