Professor Montgomery Porter Sellers ('93) writes to Augustine Birrell, the Chief Secretary for Ireland, about Birrell’s claim in his book, Life of William Hazlitt, that “the presidency of [Dickinson] College” was offered to Hazlitt in 1783.
