1919 Commencement

Fri., Jun. 20, 1919

Commencement exercises for the 1918-19 academic year were held at Bosler Memorial Hall. Speakers included Bishop Luther B. Wilson, Bishop Rogers Israel, and the Hon. Josephus Daniels, Secretary of the Navy. Fifty-two students were graduated, a number much smaller than usual because of World War I. The Dickinson Players performed Shakespeare's "As You Like It"  as part of the commencement festivities. Because of the effort of overcoming the war, this commencement was nicknamed the "Victory Commencement."
