This is the Dickinsonian's Christmas issue. A survey of campus shows that students would prefer a larger Cultural Center. Omicron Delta Kappa leadership fraternity tapped five members during the Paul Butterfield concert. A Dickinsonian editorial from the previous week provoked a response from Dr. Milton Flower. Dean of Men Andrew Hecker looks to introduce a policy of closer communication between the student body and himself. College Choirs come together to present Christmas concert. US Rep. Edward Biester appeared at Dickinson Law School's Trickett Hall to speak on civil disobedience. The Women's Interdormitory Council punishes 12 girls for not locking the front doors after two men broke into the building. Six campus organizations team up to celebrate Christmas with underprivileged Carlisle children. The Open Door presents Gelber's experimental performance "The Apple". Fraternities sponsor the band Magnificent Men for their February Rush Weekend Concert. Professor Joseph Schiffman was asked by the Institute of European Studies at Dickinson to head the American undergraduate center at the University of Durham in England. The Follies present "Kiss Me Kate" to open their twentieth season. Jack Jordan was the featured guest at the previous week's Young Republicans meeting. Female freshmen protest the Women's Rules Test. An Albion College chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha was put on probation by the national ZTA organization for rushing a black student. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation is changing their scholarship policy due to a decrease in funds. Swimming and basketball loses, and wrestling wins. Dave Thompson was named co-MVP of the soccer team.
