The Department of Music presented the College Choir, Collegium Musicum, College-Community Orchestra, and Symphonic Band in a concert at 11:00pm in Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium.
The Research and Development Committee of Dickinson College presented a concert of chamber music at 8:15pm in Rubendall Recital Hall. The concert was funded by a Creative Arts Grant. The musicians played Johannes Brahms' "Quintet in B Minor" and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Quintet in A Major".

Students and faculty performed a sixteenth-century Spanish piece entitled "A los banos del amor", Alessandro Scarlatti's "Quartet in F Major for three flutes and basso continuo", Johann Pachelbel's "Canon in D Major for three violins and basso continuo", Arthur Honegger's "Petite Suite", two duets by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Walter Piston's "Three Pieces for Flute, Clarinet, and Bassoon".

The Coro Stelutis, a vocal ensemble from Bologna, Italy, gave a concert at 8:00pm in Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium as a part of their 1985 United States tour.

Members of the department faculty performed Johann Sebastian Bach's "Prelude to Lute Suite No. 3" and "French Suite in E-flat Major"; George Frideric Handel's "Sonata in G Major for traverso and harpischord" and "Concerto Grosso No. 4"; Johannes Brahms' "Feldeinsamkeit", "Nachtwandler", and "Vergebliches Standchen"; two caprices by Niccolo Paganini; and the anonymously-written piece "Die Bankelsangerlider".

Mezzo soprano Joan Frey Boytim and pianist Harry Goldby presented Virginia Woolf: A Portrait in Words and Music in Rubendall Recital Hall. They were joined by lecturer Joanne Trautmann Banks. The program was repeated on May 18.

The Mermaid Players and the Department of Music presented Once Upon a Mattress at 8:00pm in Mathers Theatre. Written by Jay Thompson, Marshall Barer, and Dean Fuller, with music by Mary Rodgers, the production ran April 19, 20, 22, and 23.
