Collegium Musicum presented the medieval opera The Play of Daniel in the Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium. The story of Daniel is told in the Old Testament, and the play depicts his encounter with God when his angels were sent to save him from the lions' den. He then went on to predict the coming of the Messiah. The opera was sung entirely in Latin.
Seven one act plays, in which the only actors were freshmen, were presented to the college.
An exhibition of artwork done by the students of the college was on display in the Holland Union Building. Photography, block prints, silk screen prints, drawings, paintings, and macrame were all present in the show. No one college group sponsored the show, and all students were invited to show work.
George Rouault's Miserere, made up of twelve original etchings, was on display in the Holland Union Building. An early 20th century European artist, Rouault's works featured clowns, corrupt judges, the passion of Christ, and the misery of war.
Marcel Marceau, who was the director of his own school of pantomime techniques in New York City and unsurpassed in his field, performed for the college in the Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium.
Eighty-one prints by contemporary artist Marky Bulwinkle were displayed in the Holland Union Building. Most of the artworks were woodcuts, and all works were vibrantly colored and full of life.
The Modern Dance Theatre presented their 1981 spring concert in Mathers Theatre. The show ran from March 6-7 and featured choreography by Amie Amundsen, Mary Anne Dougherty, Kari-Ann Fandek, Lynn Feyk, Demas Moyer, Katherine Childress, Jamie Pitucci, Tavana, and Christine Amoroso.
Kiss Me Kate, a musical by Cole Porter and Bella Spewack, opened at 8:00pm in Mathers Theatre. Presented by the Mermaid Players, the show ran April 23-4 and 27.
The Modern Dance Theatre presented their spring dance concert in Mathers Theatre. The show ran March 7-8 and featured choreography by Tracy Trimper, Trina Collins, Ruthann Mamrak, and Christine Amoroso.

The Department of Music presented the third Noonday Concert of the 1981-1982 academic year in Memorial Hall. Students and faculty performed Joseph Bodin de Boismortier's "Concerto in G Major for Five Flutes", Johann Sebastian Bach's "Prelude and Fugue in C-sharp Major", Giovanni Paolo Colonna's "O Splendid Dies", Frederic Chopin's "Waltz in C-sharp Minor", Franz Danzi's "Woodwind Quintet in G Minor", and Johann Pachelbel's "Canon for Three Violins and Basso Continuo".
The Cultural Affairs Committee of the College presented Charles Gordone's Pulitzer Prize-winning play No Place To Be Somebody. Key issues in the play were racial identity the strength of the human spirit.
Black-belt Rich Garnish, along with a team of six experts, gave a demonstration of Okinawan Isshinryu Karate in the Social Hall. The demonstration was concluded by a lesson in self-defense. The program was offered as a prelude to the upcoming karate class being offered for gym credit.
A six-man band, the Flying Burrito Brothers, performed in the College Cafeteria for the enjoyment of the students. The band played a mixture of Country Western, Blue Grass, and Rock and Roll.
The Dramatic Club performed You Can't Take it With You in the Carlisle High School auditorium on Friday, December 6, 1940. The play was directed by Dickinson Law School's Harold Bernstein.
Ladislas Segy, a well known scholar of African Art, loaned the College over thirty artworks from his own gallery. They were displayed in the Holland Union Building from September 9th through the 29th.
The Department of Music presented the Chamber Orchestra in a concert at 8:00pm in Mathers Theatre. They played Johann Sebastian Bach's "Bradenburg Concerto No. 1" and "Concerto in D Minor"; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Concerto in G Major", "Komm liebe Zither, Komm", and "Die Zufriedenheit"; Alan Hovhaness' "Haroutium"; Malcolm Arnold's "Serenade for Guitar and Strings"; and Heitor Villa-Lobos' "Bachianas Brasilerias No. 5".
Cultural Affairs presented the Preservation Hall Jazz Band in a concert in the Kline Life/Sports Learning Center.

The program for this event included Paganini-Liszt's "La Campanella"; Gustav Mahler's "Ich Atmet Einen Linden Duft", "Liebst Du Um Schonheit", "Blicke Mir Nicht In Die Lieder", and "Um Mitternacht"; Walter Rogers' "Columbian Festival"; Moritz Moszkowski's "Gitarre"; Felix Mendelssohn's "Draw Near all ye People"; Theo Servais' "Rencontre"; Irving Fine's "Polaroli" and "Lenny the Leopard"; Irving Mopper's "Men"; and Arcangelo Corelli's "Trio Sonata in D Major".

They performed Gwyn Arch's "An Island Sheiling Song" and "An Eriskay Love Lilt"; Maurice Jacobson's "Blow the Wind Southerly"; James Sutcliffe's "Love will Find out the Way"; Billy Byers' "Yuriko"; Jay Beckenstein's "Morning Dance"; Thad Jones' "Big Dipper"; S. Garfinkel's "Antya Laba"; and William Dawnson's "Ev'ry Time I Feel the Spirit", "Feed-a My Sheep", and "I Want to be Ready".
The Department of Music presented pianist and composer John Davison in a Noonday Concert in Memorial Hall. He played Alfred Swan's "Jane's Melodies"; Alfred Palmer's "Prelude No.1"; and four pieces composed by Davison himself: "Introduction and Dance", "Suite I", "Sonata in One Movement", and "Blessed be the Lord".
The Department of Music presented the College-Community Orchestra, Collegium Musicum, Chamber Choir, and College Choir in the 1981 Parents' Day Concert at 11:00am in Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium. They performed George F. Handel's "Music for the Royal Fireworks", Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Regina Coeli", highlights from Pietro Mascagni's "Cavalleria Rusticana", and a selection of works from the Middle Ages and Renaissance".
