The Department of Music presented the Jazz Ensemble and the Chamber Choir in their third annual joint concert at 8:00pm in Rubendall Recital Hall. They performed J. Beckenstein's "Cockatoo", Sammy Nestico's "Fun Time", J. Oddo's "John Brown's Other Body", Diamond/Bacharach/Sager's "Heartlight", Donald Fagen's "I.G.Y. (What a Beautiful World)", Les Brown's "Sentimental Journey", Chick Corea's "Spain", Lew Spence's "Nice 'n' Easy", Ray Noble's "I Hadn't Anyone Til You", Rube Bloom's "Give me the Simple Life", and Anita Kerr's "Goodbye Mr. Blues".

Students and faculty performed Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Divertimento in B-flat Major", "Serenade for Wind Trio in B-flat Major", "Il core vi dono", and "Concerto in A Major for Clarinet and Orchestra"; Georg Philipp Telemann's "Quartet in D Minor for three flutes and keyboard"; Heinrich Schutz's "Verbum caro factum est"; and Henri Vieuxtemps' "Souvenir d'Amerique".

The Wind Ensemble, Collegium Musicum, College Choir, and College-Community Orchestra performed for the event. The program included Ralph Vaughn-Williams' "Seventeen Come Sunday", "My Bonny Boy", and "Folk Songs from Somerset"; Johann Sebastian Bach's "Lobet den Herren alle Heiden"; Bela Bartok's "Wedding Song", "Song of the Hayharvesters", "Dancing Song" from Madzibrod, and "Dancing Song" from Poniky; and Ludwig van Beethoven's Choral Fantasy.

Members of the music faculty performed Warren Baker's "Fanfare, Gigue and March"; Sergei Rachmaninoff's "Sonata in G Minor"; Johann Sebastian Bach's "Suite for Lute"; Johannes Brahms' "Wie Melodien zieht es mir", "O Wusst'ich doch", "Vorschneller Schwar", and "Trio"; and Ned Rorem's "Early in the Morning" and "O You Whom I Often and Silently Come".

The Harrisburg Civic Opera gave a concert in Rubendall Recital Hall, featuring selections from Jacques Offenbach's The Tales of Hoffman and "an operatic potpourri".

Violinist Hwa-sun Loh, violoncellist June Shomaker, clarinetist Ella Forsyth, and pianist Kayo Tatebe played D. Milhaud's "Suite", F. Schubert's "Sonatina No. 2", J. Brahms' "Sonata No. 2 in E-flat Major", S. Prokofieff's "Sonata", and L. van Beethoven's "Trio in B-flat Major".
