"A Day without Art" Exhibit Opens

The Trout Gallery sponsored an invitational exhibition of works related to AIDS in honor of "A Day without Art", the annual commemoration of the lives and creative talents lost due to AIDS.  The exhibition was on display from November 19th to December 18th, 1993.

Rick Smolan Exhibit Opens

"A Decade of Giving" Exhibit Opens

Davenny Landscapes Exhibit Re-Opens

From August 27th to September 25th, 1993, the Trout Gallery displayed an exhibit of new faculty member Ward Davenny's landscapes along with landscapes from the college collection.  The exhibit had been displayed in the gallery the previous summer.

"Landscapes" Exhibit Opens

"Fields of Vision" Exhibit Opens

"The Guided Hand" Exhibit Opens

The Fall 1992 Art Historical Methods seminar produced an exhibit for the Trout Gallery entitled "The Guided Hand: European Prints in the Permanent Collection from Durer to Piranesi" that was on display from January 29th to February 24th, 1993.  The exhibit explored the various styles and techniques of European printmaking.

Leon Golub Exhibit Opens

"Trials and Triumphs" Exhibit Opens

The Art Historical Methods Seminar of Fall 1990 created an exhibit from the Dickinson collection entitled "Trials and Triumphs: American Prints from the 1930s and 1940s."  The exhibit was largely composed of prints donated by Mrs. Grace Linn.  It was on display in the Trout Gallery from January 25th to February 28th, 1991.

Mermaid Players' Production of "Lysistrata" Opens

Fri., Jan. 30, 1970

Lysistrata, a play by Aristophanes, opened at 9:00pm in Mathers Theatre. Presented by the Mermaid Players, the production ran January 30-31, including an additional matinee performance on January 31 at 2:00pm. For this show, the title role of Lysistrata was played by Juliann Davidson.

Mermaid Players' Production of "Richard III" Opens

Richard III, a play by William Shakespeare, opened at 8:00pm in Mathers Theatre. Presented by the Mermaid Players, the production ran October 24-25 and October 30-November 1. In this show, the title role of Richard III was played by Fred Morsell.
