The Belles Lettres society hosts a celebration of the revamped Dickinson Review, CSE Observes Earth Hour with a bonfire, community members share their failures and successes in TED-style forum, the Office of Diversity Initiatives is changing its name to the Popel Shaw Center for Race and Ethnicity, and a prize-winning poet visits campus.

Lorrie Moore, the Stellfox Award winner, visits Dickinson, First-Years learn to adapt, the Clarke Forum hosts a panel discussion on the social impacts of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, a 2015 Fall Mosaic titled "Assessing American and South African Education Since Civil Rights and the End of the Apartheid" hosted by the Africana studies and Education departments is announced, and excitement grows for the Fall Concert featuring the Chainsmokers and 3lau.

The illegal distribution and sale of prescription drugs such as Adderall and Ritalin becomes very present on campus. A tuition increase for the 2007-2008 school year is announced, much to the dismay of students though it seems that they understand the reasons behind the increases. Although it meets the national and state safety requirements, Kaufman Hall still contains levels of toxins too high for Dickinson standards which will be handled over winter break. Pulitzer Prize winner Rita Dove comes to Dickinson as the recipient of the 2006 Stellfox Award.
