Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity holds a smoker.  The Halloween Masquerade Carnival is a great success.  Delta Chi hosts an evening at Holly Inn.  Beta Theta Pi holds a Halloween dance in Assembly Hall.  YMCA prepares for Week of Prayer.  Phi Kappa Psi holds a Halloween dance in Armory Hall.

Halloween Masquerade Carnival to raise money for the band is to be held.  The Music department to hold its annual concert.  Philadelphia Club initiates its new members.  The Geology class, under the direction of Dr. and Mrs. Mohler, take a field trip to Boiling Springs.  Sophomores take trip to Mt. Holly.

The Civic Club announces its schedule of entertainments for the year.  Music Department to give a concert.  Faculty decides to allow ten basket ball games for the year.  Bill proposed in the Illinois House of Representatives to remove fraternities' tax exempt status.  Kappa Sigma holds a smoker.  The Seniors elect their class officers.

Freshmen successfully post their posters on the tower of old West College.  Faculty Club holds first meeting.  Freshmen hold a feed.  Freshmen girls host a reception.  The Law School opens with one of its largest classes ever.  Alumni honor Dr. Reed.  Professor Super's paper on President Durbin is continuted from the previous week.

Biddle Memorial Field opened with football victory over Western Maryland.  The YWCA holds its annual reception.  The football season looks unpromising unless there is greater dedication from players.  Play "The Climax" comes to Harrisburg.  An update is given on the recently graduated class of 1909, on "where and what they have landed."  Article on new football rules is reproduced from Yale Collegian.  Paper on former president John Durbin submitted by Professor Super.  New athletic quarters at the Carlisle Indian School are completed.

Dickinson begins its 127th year with an assembly in chapel, including a speech by Dr. Reed.  Sophomores successfully put up their posters, unmolested by Freshmen.  Sophomore girls hold a reception for the Sophomore boys in Assembly Hall.  The YMCA holds its annual all college reception in Chapel Hall.  Freshmen posters must be up by October 14th.  Freshmen win agains the Sophomores in the annual rush.  Second Section holds a feed.  The subject for intercollegiate debate is announced.  Phi Delta Theta gives an informal dance.

Commencement Weekd is held.  The speeches given at Commencement are all listed.  The Board of Trustees motions to request Faculty imput on the admittance of ladies to the college.  A new building, the Bosler Memorial Library Hall, is planned.  The Junior Oratorical Contest is held.

The Athletic Association selects members for the baseball team.  The Union Philosophical Society Sophomore Contest is held.  The Union Philosophical Society purchases new books for their collection.  The Belles Lettres Society begins a revision of their constitution.  Alumni hold a reunion in Philadelphia.  The seniors go on their Class Ride.  Dickinson's baseball team plays Hagerstown in the first match of the season.
