A participant in an Emcee Battle at the Depot shoots at students after they tried to leave the event before his group performed. For the third year, Dickinson prepares for U-Turn, a campus collection and yard sale benefiting United Way. Dance Theatre Group prepares for its fresh student choreographed concert. The Keystones hold a car bash to raise money for Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD). The Senior Gift Drive already nears its goal. The Women's Lacrosse and Softball teams continue on impressive win streaks and look toward the post season.

As fraternity rush season takes off, Kappa Sigma fraternity considers reapplying for recognition on campus after being suspended in 2004. The TV ad-hoc committee established recently by Student Senate releases a poll of potential cable channels to be added to Dickinson's repertoire. MOB and Delta Sigma Phi fraternity hold a CD release party for a local student band. A former technician in the biology department is charged with stealing $146,000 from the school by charging personal purchases to a department credit card and submitting false receipts for reimbursement.

This issue consists of articles regarding Rachel McCool's ('07) success in the JEOPARDY! game show. Discussion of the limited amount of U.S. History classes offered at Dickinson College. The College warns of strict regulation against electronic file sharing amongst students. A security camera is placed on East College to monitor the Benjamin Rush statue and prevent vandalism. Weiss Prize recipient, Cassie Gurbisz '05 describes her project of working with roadkill in art. Dickinson students led by Maureen Conly '05 start a Girl Scout Troop in Carlisle.

The Sexual Resource Group provides information during Safer Sex Week. Pennsylvania's Abortion Control Act will go into place, mandating counseling and a 24 hour waiting period after that session. A performance of the play "Our Young Black Men are Dying and Nobody Seems to Care" is one of the many events scheduled for Black History Month. The Mermaid Players perform a "must see" production of King Lear. The Cultural Affairs Committee funds a performance of Chopin's music by renowned pianist Robert Guralnik. The Music department also presented a concert of Schubert pieces.
