Progress on the Scientific Building, now known by the name of Tome, is delayed.  The new gymnasium is scheduled to be opened by the beginning of the next semester.

Neither the Scientific Building nor the new gymnasium are yet ready to use, much to the dismay of the students.  The college orchestra is reorganized.  The Sophomores beat the Freshmen in baseball 19 to 7 and then refuse to play against the Preparatory students.  A combined football team of sophomores and freshman beat a senior-preparatory team 9 to 8.  The college baseball team loses to Mechanicsburg 23 to 9, but then wins in a rematch.  A history of the fraternities at Dickinson is given.

Professors Super and Morgan are added to the staff at Dickinson.  A field is donated to the college for student athletics.  Class spirit sags as Freshman avoid traditional hazing and fraternities pit members of the same class against each other.  The Union Philosophical Society decides that it will not admit women.  A cricket club is formed.  The builder for the Bosler Memorial Library Hall is selected.
