Commencement Weekd is held.  The speeches given at Commencement are all listed.  The Board of Trustees motions to request Faculty imput on the admittance of ladies to the college.  A new building, the Bosler Memorial Library Hall, is planned.  The Junior Oratorical Contest is held.

Dickinsonian, July 1886

The 103rd annual Commencement Week is held.  Bosler Memorial Library Hall is formally presented to the Board of Trustees in an elaborate ceremony.  Professor Lindsay is elected to a full professorship position for Chemistry.  The baseball team loses to a  Harrisburg team 12 to 6, with complaints regarding a biased umpire.  Chi Phi, Sigma Chi, Theta Delta Chi, and Phi Kappa Psi hold their annual banquets.

Dickinsonian, January 1886

Plans for an inter-society debate are taking shape.  Calls for a song about Dickinson are published.  Inter-class baseball games are planned between the Seniors, Juniors, and Freshmen.  The Bosler Memorial Library Hall is almost finished, and in the wake of its opening the societies discuss aggregating their holdings into one.  The alumni record of the college is about to be published, much to the satisfaction of all.

Professors Super and Morgan are added to the staff at Dickinson.  A field is donated to the college for student athletics.  Class spirit sags as Freshman avoid traditional hazing and fraternities pit members of the same class against each other.  The Union Philosophical Society decides that it will not admit women.  A cricket club is formed.  The builder for the Bosler Memorial Library Hall is selected.

Dickinsonian, October 3, 1940

The Young People's Fellowship plans a hayride to disprove the rumors that they are a "stuffy" organization. The four women's fraternities pledge forty-three freshmen and transfer students. Dickinson is asked to take part in the Civilian Pilot Training Program which will allow students of the three older classes to learn to fly. 108 freshmen men and transfer students pledge to the twelve men's fraternities. Tau Delta Pi, the theater honorary fraternity, proposes the ambitious campaign of one-act plays. The remodel of the Bosler Memorial Library is nearly completed.

Dickinsonian, February 16, 1933

The Board of Trustees met and discussed modernizing the campus, the endowment, and alumni contributions. A speakers' bureaus will be formed to allow students to practice public speaking outside of debating. Plans for the Miami Triad formal dance, hosted by Beta Theta Pi, Phi Delta Theta and Sigma Chi, are almost complete. Speech on "Patriotism versus Nationalism" will occur at the next meeting of the Young People's Fellowship. Belles Lettres Society to gain new officers.
