In this edition, the big issue is the new Fraternity leases, which covers all fraternities on campus. Fraternities now live under the terms set by the Task Team Report on College-Fraternity Relations. The College is seeking out more Work/Study funding programs to help students with financial aid. The question of unionization as the cause for friction in the College community is asked by "The Dickinsonian." Men's soccer is undefeated so far in the season.

An 86-year-old tradition was revived at Dickinson, with the inter-society debates between the Belles Lettres and the Union Philosophical Society. A study abroad trip to England is offered for the summer with a focus in Astronomy and Geology. A report was published in the paper by the Task Force on Residential and Social Life, which discussed housing solutions such as with group, special interest, freshman, self-governance, coed, and fraternities. Clyde Vedder, Captain of the swim team, lead the team to victory and has been the top swimmer for the past three seasons.

Dr. George Shuman announces retirement from vice-president and Board of Trustees positions. A host program is initiated by the Auxiliary Enterprise Committee and Dana Scholars. The Task Force on Residential and Social Life holds first meeting. An overview of the Public Affairs Symposium "Human Destiny: Can It Be Controlled" is featured. Prof. Frederick Ferre calls attention to plagiarism in faculty meeting. Sunnyside Restaurant receives a favorable review.
